Explain what Homecoming discussion means, please.
by: Huh?I’m (hopefully) coming to campus in fall. Not sure what all this Homecoming asking means. Fraternities ask sororities where? And Kap Sig and Sig Chi are consider “top” fraternities? And they both asked the same sorority? Are there more fraternities than sororities? Do multiple frats go with a single sorority?

1) there are 10 panhellenic sororities and 13 IFC frats
2) homecoming weekend there is a big football game (obviously), a parade, tailgates, parties etc... orgs that decide to ‘go to hoco tg’ will walk the parade together with a banner and shirts and a theme and whatever, people are getting tight bc for that weekend those two orgs will generally only mix with each other for tailgates and parties too
3) generally hoco courting is a one to one process but sometimes two fraternities will go with one sorority or two sororities will go together
4) kap sig and sig chi tend to be thought of as the ‘top’ frats although it’s really not that deep- they both were courting chi O im not sure who ended up with who tho (i think kap sig is with chi o and sig chi is with pi phi?)

Thank you for explanation. So, if I were to pledge Chi O, I would be going to HOCO my freshman year with Sigma Chi or Kappa Sigma, whichever chi O picked? Is there a way to find out which sororities are going with which fraternities? Do they tell PNMs during recruitment? \n\n\n\n\n
