rushing before transferring

I'm a JMU student planning on applying to W&M as a transfer at the end of my freshmen year. I want to be a part of greek life next year. I also don't wanna pledge twice. So my question is: Is it possible/likely that I'll be able to rush spring semester here and then transfer to W&M and join their chapter without having to go through the whole process again.

At my chapter we have people re rush and re-pledge, I wouldnt pledge at JMU if you're serious about pledging at W&M.

I’m serious about rushing at W&M I’m just unsure of my chances of transferring first year. If I transfer my junior year I’d need to be already in a frat to have brotherhood.

Honestly, it may be worth it to just wait and just pledge here sophomore year

The chapters are each campus are different, wait until you're here to rush. Just because you like JMU's chapter of whatever fraternity doesn't mean you'll like WM's
