PMNS GET OFF NOW

Please PNMs, take my word for it and get off of this webpage. It will make recruitment so much less stressful and you'll end up happier in whatever sorority you end up in and your right fit. It is wayyyy better to be happy in a sorority you end up in naturally and actually like the best instead of one that you think you want or should be in. People are happy and unhappy in every single sorority.
You will end up in the sorority you will end up regardless of if you know these bs "ranks" or not. PS these "ranks"/"tiers" are almost solely based off of fakey looks, not involvement, sisterhood, and everything else that is actually important. And not enough people are even in greek life here that it doesn't really add anything to your "social status" to be in a certain sorority or not.
In my experience/knowledge, the sororities that are not labeled as "top tier" have the best sisterhoods and friendships, and have better involvement and more fun activities. Honestly, imo its a much better experience to not be in the "hot" sorority. Think about what friends you have now, had in hs, and want to have here.
Also, don't expect being in a sorority to be like a movie. I totally recommend rushing for everyone who is even considering joining a sorority, and if you don't like it, you can drop out of rush or even a sorority. But joining a sorority is not just about partying. In fact, once you're in it, partying is a kind of small part of it. Weekly chapters, philanthropy hours, sisterhoods, fundraisers, tabling, and more are where people are often their best selves. But remember, you will need to put in the effort too. You need to push yourself to go to these events, to talk to people, even to get involved with your chapter. It is an effort and time commitment, and most people will say its worth it. This is how you really create the true friendships, and at the least, a baseline "i got your back" relationship and someone to say hi to or be partners with in class.
PNMs- please join a sorority, but please right now close this tab and never open greekrank again. Atleast until February.
PS this kind of goes for frats too.
xoxo
