informal recruitment
by: ?when do sororities announce if they’re doing informal or not? i’m going to be a sophomore and i didn’t go through recruitment last semester and want a top tier.

You need to have at least 12 credits already and you can’t go through informal recruitment if you went through formal recruitment the same year. Top tiers don’t do informal, the only sororities that do informal need more girls because their numbers are low. Delta Zeta had to do informal right after formal recruitment last semester because they lost half their girls because they hazed and got caught. Phi sig does informal every semester and Ast also does it often.

Sororities won’t know until we get back to school (when chapter totals are reset) if we are allowed to do informal. i think ast is trying to do informal again this year tho too
