rankings?

by:

Could someone go a little more in depth about the sorority rankings. I get that APhi is hot and considered the top sorority, I even know that theres a total competition between them and ZTA. At least DZ is nice though and also considered top tier. But when you really look at each of these sororities individually, person by person are they actually attractive? I've heard horror stories of the top tiers and I just want to know a more descriptive reason to why they are top tier because in all honesty some of they don't even know their own philanthropy.
Next we have the middle tier which I have read the majority of the rankings and middle tier includes AST (which is actually pretty close to top tier), AXiD, DPhiE, and maybe ADPi? Personally I think AST is super cool and totally deserve to be considered top tier because unlike the actual top tiers, they really do participate on campus. AXiD was really under the radar for me when I went through recruitment but have totally moved up over the semester. I feel like DPhiE is pretty underrated but at the same time, why do fraternities not like them they seem nice enough and attractive enough? I've heard mixed reviews about ADPi and how they are a little weird but I know a lot of them personally and they are all really fun. Phi Sig would probably come next? I don't know much about them, or ASA for that matter. Phi mu is a great set of girls with great ambitions.
I would just like to get opinions from people to see what is going on

Out of everyone ast is the least involved on campus

That's actually really good to know I guess they have a good image and are nice but it is true that they don't do much but looks aren't everything and I think being involved is important

Most of the 'top tier' don't make themselves as visible on campus as they could. Then there's chapters like Phi Mu, ADPi and ASA who get a bad rep for not looking like the stereotype but are actually great women to hang out with and try hard to get involved and make themselves visible.

Then where do sororities like AXiD and DPhiE come in?

I don't think it's fair to discount the women in "top tier" sororities as being not visible or terrible people to be around. No chapter has members who aren't involved in anything or who aren't pleasant to be around or else those chapters would get no pnms or all of them would drop.

To Susan I don't think that's what we are trying to say here, we aren't saying top tier ladies are terrible people but it is a common fact that many top tier sororities at west chester are just not as involved on campus as others and care more about their image rather than their philanthropies

I disagree I think that the "top tier sororities" are just as involved as everyone else. I don't deny that they are for sure more obsessed with their image but I don't think that's a fair statement.

I guess I should back track a little bit because I am generalizing the top tier sororities. There are lots of women who are in aphi and zta that are involved immensely but I think if one were to generalize unfortunately the outcome would be that they aren't as active as other sororities on campus and care more about looks.

ADPI has some odd ones and some fresh faces but again, seem to be involved with philanthropy more off of campus. They are all very laid back. PHISIG has a mix of girls as well as ASA, although ASA is newer. PHIMU has a bunch of girls who really are into their sorority as a whole and are involved with their philanthropy a decent amount. Regardless of what the stereotypes, its important to remember that each sorority is a sorority and everyone joined for the same reasons, to become a part of something bigger than themselves. Each sorority deserves respect.

I agree, these chapters are about more than how they appear, they are actively trying to show that their values matter more. Each chapter does deserve respect even if you don't know anyone in a given chapter.

Actually, I'm in what is known as a bottom tier sorority, so before you go and name call, think before you speak.

in my perspective dz is a lot more focused on how they appear, especially to guys. they seem to have the same attitude as aphi when we mix with them.... isn't cool lol, atleast zta is nice
