by: unsureI want to be a founding sister in the Fall but I'm nervous. Is it weird to be a founding member? I think it will be a cool experience- I also don't want to go through formal recruitment. I want to join Greek Life though and meet a lot of people. Is this a bad idea?

while it is a cool experience you will definitely have a different experience than you would if you went through formal recruitment. they're going to take a lot of different girls and so no one will know what to think of them just yet, which is why you might feel like you're not really a part of greek life yet, where as previously established sororities already have their stereotypes and who they mix with, etc. if you want to do it thought definitely go for it, it's still very cool being a founder
