yeah. they became more status obsessed and are taking on the "i'm too cool to care about anything" attitude of a teenager. it's not exactly working. their aloofness just makes them forgettable. just look at their attitude about thurtene. they aren't doing thurtene with dg this year. they thought everyone else would follow along and stop doing facades, but no one did. dg founds a new partner. many other chapters also found new partners and are proceeding with facades.

I don't think it's exactly fair to pin all that stuff about Thurtene on them - they just didn't want to do it this year and so they voted not to. That's not unreasonable. But socially you're right. They started "breaking up" with DG like 3 years ago because they wanted to social climb, but all it did was scrap their nice guy reputation and now DG looks like it's actually doing way better than them. One less chapter to compete with at rush I guess.
