sisterhood

by:

I'm rushing this week and what I really want from a sorority is the sisterhood aspect because I don't feel as if I've made great friends at WashU so far. It seems to me that some chapters have tighter sisterhoods and some have weaker ones. Could I get some opinions on how big the sisterhood is in each sorority?

why do the "top" sororities have the worst sisterhoods? is it just because of who the girls are and their priorities?

Yes - girls who join "top" sororities often do so because of the rep / to be "popular," while middle and lower sororities tend to prioritize sisterhood

It is my perception that the "middle tier" sororities at Washu recruit with a greater emphasis on non-superficial characteristics. I think this translates to an environment and the types of members that cultivate an especially strong sisterhood.

Is it a general consensus that pi phi has more of a sister hood than aphi/kappa or are they pretty close?

^ I guess this is probably true between the 3 of them (based solely on what I have heard) but honestly to say that those sororities don't have good sisterhood isn't true. u can't just throw the word sisterhood around and say some people have "none" of it. my friends in pi phi and kappa have true best friends in their chapter and like everyone else around them even if they aren't die hard best friends. idk about aphi but they also seem to like each other
