okay kappa..... if anything kkg is equal with aphi/pi phi, i'd actually put it below them. they don't have a good rep anymore, and without that they're basically a hotter, meaner dg. which makes sense when you remember how much those two chapters have cross-preffed the last two years

Why do we even care so much about rankings? Aside from the girls who rush for reputation, half of whom end up hating their decisions, no one actually cares during recruitment. More girls each year do the smart thing and just look for a good fit, which is why in the last 3-4 years the "middle tier" sororities have both made it to the top of rush stats at some point. PNMs should watch out for chapters that spend time trying to advertise ranking - it usually means they feel threatened that they don't have much else to offer

if you care about tiers (and you shouldn't necessarily) this is by far the most accurate.

there were a couple of years where aephi's pcs were really seen as girls who wanted to be top tier and didn't make it/set themselves up to be the backup to the top (mostly pi phi just based on similarities). they also didn't have as much of an on-campus presence. in the same period, dg evolved to be more outgoing and social and because they already had more of a presence/identity that was separate from the top chapters people started seeing them as "better".
honestly i think dg is as good as they're going to get unless they drastically change their rush to match the top tier recruiting strategy (good luck with that) and the aephi sophomores are pretty great and don't seem to be as social climby as some of their older girls. i think people are putting dg slightly above aephi out of habit, but both are cool chapters for different types of people and both are middle tier. does it matter who's the better middle tier?

I'll give you that DG has moved up, but that's probably the only correct thing in this post. Chi O needs to be moved down, to be honest maybe even below KD (yeah kind of hate myself for saying that) but Chi O's latest PCs have been lacking a cohesive image and good looks. And Kappa is SO not top anymore, neither is Aphi...
