aopi's been here since 2009 and they still haven't figured out how to recruit...always end with girls who had aopi as either their last or only choice on prefs

This is a recolonization for Gamma Phi Beta. They had a chapter here and it closed. They are now recolonizing it. It was one of their oldest chapters, with a single letter designation. (Phi). There are a ton of alums who are super-excited about this colony and begging to put money and time into supporting it.

Also, there is a Gamma Phi Beta at SLU that is pretty strong. They can pull those women in to help teach the colony what is what. KD did this with some success with their SLU chapter.

i think they're equal in the tier system but end up with very different chapter personalities. a bunch of kd girls end up being the ones who thought they could be "better" and kept the attitude even after they ended up in kd (and are the type of girls who founded kd in the first place because they refused to join aopi). aopi girls are for the most part just grateful to have found a place that loves them and accepts them, which says much more for their character. obviously there are some of both in each chapter but they each tend to attract one type vs. the other.

nationally they are stronger and regionally. they have older and more respected chapters across the state that will influence PNMs
