drinking
by: concernedCan you be in a sorority and not drink? I love going out and partying and having fun but I don't drink for many reasons, some being medical/health. Would I be required to drink in a sorority? I can still be a crazy party girl without drinking if that's what they want but I don't want to be forced to drink or looked down upon or made fun of for not drinking

no. If we named names, this discussion would turn into which sorority is better or worse like every other discussion on here, so no.
I'll just say this: there are girls in every sorority that will drink and you will probably find girls in EVERY sorority who encourage drinking.

Hi! I am currently a sophomore in a sororities and I had this concern last year! I am a pretty fun, out going person who loves to party, but not necessarily drink. There were many parties this past year that I did not drink at, some of my sisters would ask if I was not drinking and when I said yes, their replies were usually, "Okay, cool! Want to go dance?" I have never once been pressured to drink. The biggest surprise to me is when I did drink, an older girl in the sororities who I became close to would usually pull me aside and tell me that I did not have to drink because everyone else was.
All in all not drinking is not something you'll have to worry about! :)

can you give examples of sororities that do or don't force you to drink?
