yak about kappa kappa gamma

Did anyone see that negative yak about kappa that got 125+ upvotes? It seems like the general consensus is that no one likes kappa anymore and thinks the girls are all stuck up and mean, is this true?

They're no more stuck up than Alpha Phi or Pi Phi, and I've met far meaner girls in those two chapters (I'm personally not Greek), but there is a certain sense of entitled self-centeredness that defines Kappa. They think the world revolves around the fact that they're in Kappa and the privileges/status that should come with, but then they'll turn it against their own sisters too. I've watched so many friends in Kappa screw each other over for guys, parties, friends, even housing arrangements. It's pretty sad.

When a girl joins kappa something overcomes her and she starts thinking she runs the world. There are so many girls in kappa who used to be great but are swept up by the kappa mentality which is mean and stuck up. I dislike the majority of the girls I know in kappa and after talking to some friends, they feel the same way. There are some nice girls but the majority are just awful and condescending. I would highly suggest joining another chapter.

My suitemates Freshman year both joined Kappa and even before recruitment they were really rude and inconsiderate jerks who would blast music on weekday nights and just act like the entitled brats they are..needless to say I've never had a good impression of Kappa.

Kappas are the type that blow off all their other friends in other sororities after recruitment which is why theyre only friends with each other

When will freshmen realize that joining kappa is a huge mistake and they are a joke of a sisterhood. Lol that their semi formal got cancelled bc they couldnt please nationals. Theyve gotten into trouble alot recently and this is bringing down their reputation even more. Some of the most annoying people i have ever met are in this sorority.

I don't particularly like Kappa but I (and most people I've talked to) hands-down still like them better than Alpha Phi. At least Kappas are upfront about their reputation/chapter character, APhis walk around trying to convince everyone they're actually sweet, innocent girls who just "happen to win rush".

I agree with "let's be honest". At least kappa owns who they are and don't care what other people think. That's why this thread is still up (and why that yak was up for a long time). If it was alpha phi, you know it would be reported and gone within a few minutes.

Kappa is definitely the most unliked sorority by far compared to the others- i would say freshmen joining any sorority besides kappa would be completely fine and have a rewarding experience
