Greek Life as a freshman
by: wonderinghi I am going to be a freshman. I was wondering when girls rush. also what are the different sororities known for? all I get is a vibe from the social media. thanks in advance

I'd like to be in a sorority and I'm pretty laid back so I'd probably be happy anywhere. If I rush at WashU and can carry on a conversation, look presentable, have a good gpa, am involved in campus etc., what are my chances of getting a bid? Is it like Bama where lots of PNMs are dropped or is it more low-key? Do I need recs for all of the chapters? Thanks!

you’ll def get a bid. Might just be from like a less desirable sorority. Kappa Aphi ans Gphi are hard to get in but the other three r much easier. A lot of girls drop out of rush if they don’t get into one of those three (or that happened this year)

I think almost everyone gets a bid. I think you have to do something dramatic to be blacklisted by everyone.
