Want to get to know the sororities? When you come here, hang out with sisters. Basing your judgement off of greekrank is a pretty poor way to choose a sorority, even if you're trying to just find their vibe. Find the one you fit in at in person, and you'll be super happy with your choice.

What you should be looking for most in a sorority is sisterhood - other things like looks, social life, involvement, etc. might be important to you too (and that's totally valid) - but at the end of the day they come second. Unfortunately, not all chapters at WashU seem to care about sisterhood... that's why tons of Alpha Phis end up deactivating after a year or two, and Kappas backstab each other over guys and status. Pay attention on campus and you'll figure out pretty quickly which sororities are actually worth joining.
