When are Snap Bids
by: pnmhas anyone heard about snap bids? which chapters do you think will likely give them? has anyone got one? if so, which chapters have given them out.

Snap bids are bids a chapter can give you right away outside of recruitment. They don’t require you to go through another recruitment process.
I’d imagine every chapter will take snap bids except Kappa because they crushed everyone else in recruitment. Gphi might not because they got the second most amount of people, but they aren’t even close to kappa’s numbers so maybe they will. Every other chapter will definitely do snap bids. I know mine is for sure going to give them.
If you want a snap bid to a chapter, other than kappa, you should just email the head of recruitment for that chapter and ask if they are doing snap bids. While they may not offer you one, it doesn’t hurt to ask if they are going to do them. The worst they can say is no, and it will let them know that you’d be open to taking one from them.

It absolutely is a competition, and if you think otherwise you’re simply delusional. We fight to get some of the same girls in our chapters. The nature of recruitment (more so formal than informal obvi) is PNMs comparing different chapters. That inevitably makes it a competition.

This is going to get some angry dislikes, but I think they deserve to know this.
Idk if it’s different this year or not, but in normal years campus life makes you sign a contract saying that if you accept a bid somewhere you can’t join another chapter for a year. If they didn’t make you sign that this year, you can still email the chapter you wanted to be in and ask if they’re doing snap bids.

All pnms accepting a bid offer had to sign a slightly different version of that agreement this year.

Can we not used language like “crushed everyone else”? This is not a competition at its core, it’s about finding amazing new members of our community who fit each chapter.
Did Kappa do well? Absolutely! No one is denying that. But that kind of combative language is exactly the kind of stuff we want to get away from.
