To freshmen thinking about rush: do it

Just rush. Get a bid first and then decide if you want to join a fraternity. Don’t let cancel culture clowns discourage you from something as fun as GL. And the housing resolution from SU will achieve nothing- there is a contract in place.

Yes! Don’t let it stop you. You can decide if you want to accept a bid after you meet the girls in each sorority, but don’t let it be a “what if” that stays in the back of your mind 20 years after college.

You say “meet the girls” but most sororities only have like five left, so it’s unlikely that you’ll get a big/mentorship and all of that. It’ll be hard to get a feel for the “vibe.” You will meet other freshmen though
