The issue with cancel culture, especially at college
by: correct don’t cancel
What washu ig liberals don’t realize is lots of people come from environments where intolerant or non-PC views are drilled into their head every day since birth. Even if someone has the best intentions, it takes a bit of time for them to re evaluate their views.
And while we don’t have to support these beliefs, what is the point in “cancelling” them for those views, rather than correcting them and helping them grow? How is that supposed to show people the error of their ways?
Not everyone gets the privilege of going to a rich liberal high school in NYC.

To whoever wrote this--I completely understand what you're saying. However, from what I've seen on Instagram, activists have been disavowing "cancel culture." Rather, the Greek Life abolition movement is asking participants in WashU's Greek Life to reflect on their decision to join; it understands that people could have joined Greek Life with noble intentions.

Seconded. Accountability is not "cancel culture," and abolitionists aren't calling for ostracizing former WPA/IFC members for joining in the first place. To the OP: if you're interested growing via education, the @abolishwashuwpaandifc account has a lot of content.
