studlife's staff editorial written on 2/17/2020

WashU students,
I was wondering what your thoughts were about the StudLife staff editorial that was released today. Personally, I think while the article attempts to touch on an important subject, it fails to include anything of substance in its body. It is very poorly written and chooses to go after the wrong people. I'd love to hear people's thoughts and start discussion.

Originally was a bit skeptical that StudLife would do such a sucky job reporting as they did in the KE article. Then Logan spoke to my chapter and it was obvious they twisted his words. What he said wasn’t perfect but his knowledge, intention, and tangible steps were in no way represented in what I had read. Now with the op ed today, Emma Baker and they StudLife editors have made their agenda against Greek life perfectly clear. There are so many issues in Greek life but one sided journalism will never be an asset in addressing them. Logan (and adjacent KE) is clearly doing work to improve Greek life and women’s safety, as well as to do the right thing in addressing this issue. The paper’s agenda in not releasing accurate/ representative information as well as it’s clearly exhibited bias is troubling if we are to ever actually improve campus safety. I hope Student Life recognizes how severely they’ve messed up.
