actual rush advice

Okay this website is full of bs so if you're still choosing to look at it might as well gain actual useful info instead of other people's opinions about chapters. Okay so some ACTUAL rush advice
1) don't have any expectations. don't assume that you want a certain chapter or don't want others. Rushing in the spring is great but it also means that you probably have preconceptions about chapters (which, news flash, are probably not correct) so ignore those and go in with an open mind. also included in this are instagrams: either follow them all of follow none of them, only following one or two chapters shows you're already going in with a closed mind
2) TAKE NOTES!! especially with 2 days of arete day this year you'll probably struggle to remember the convos you had at all 9 chapters. Most important things to note are how the girls made you feel: did you feel relaxed? uncomfortable? excited to be there?
3) pay attention to the girls that are also going back to the same chapters as you. tbh this is more important for prefs and sisterhood day but still. Would you be happy to see these girls as your sisters? Especially on prefs there is a high chance the girls that you're in line with will become your sisters
4) how do the chapter members interact with each other? Do they seem bored or like they don't actually want to talk to each other? You can tell a lot about the chapter by the girls who are standing on the sides interacting with each other
5) going to a chapter on bid day DOES NOT guarantee you a bid to that chapter. You have a very good chance but still not a guarantee
6) Be kind and polite to every girl at every chapter (sounds like common sense but you'd be surprised) you never know if the girl you're being rude to is going to go tell suitemate/roommate in another chapter about her experience (technically not supposed to happen but still)
7) just be yourself, trying to force yourself into some mold to fit a certain chapter is going to leave you unhappy
