tbh i really liked chi o until i saw that they paid to have their "sisterhood" video promoted on facebook so that everyone would see it...i thought that they were above that kind of stuff but I guess that's not true. seriously, this is Wash. U., not a southern state school

if anything is "sponsored" on facebook, it was paid for. so when the rush video comes up as a "sponsored" post, it means that they paid to get it on a certain amount of facebook newsfeeds. it's actually really easy to do, but that doesn't mean other sororities are doing it or should be doing it or even need to be doing it...but apparently chio thinks they should/need to be doing it to be competitive.

ChiO is full of girls who don't give two sheeeets about these rankings, and neither should you, but ChiO has very down to earth, caring people who have a variety of interests/passions. Some people party, some don't, some do occasionally, and they're accepting of basically everybody. Even though there's a lot of diversity within pledge classes and within the chapter, handsdown one of the best sisterhoods on campus. ChiO is a bit quirky and it's kind of a combo of the rest of WashU's sororities.

From what I've seen, Chi O is an amazing group of girls. They seem to actually have real connections with each other, and even though they might not all be best friends, they all seem like they really do get along. It looks like a really amazing sisterhood and the new pledge class seems awesome!

Would disagree with the person below and say that ChiO is definitely some people's top choice- yes most people end up loving it even if it wasn't but also the chapter definitely appeals to a certain type of sorority experience and I know plenty of people who wanted ChiO from the start. Kind of keep to themselves, known for their sisterhood and laid back attitudes- probably not on this website a whole ton. Different chapter personalities but somewhat similar to DG.

Great sisterhood but subpar everywhere else. The girls who join almost always love it, it just isn't really anyone's top choice (or even top 3) going into rush. Solid fall-back sorority for girls who get cut from/don't fit with better chapters.

ENOUGH with the self-ranking! ChiO's a solid chapter, but saying it's a "top house" or that all the girls are "brilliant and hot" is completely untrue. If anything, it's gone down in rankings the last few years. ChiO is fine, but it can't compete with Kappa/Pi Phi/APhi for looks and social life or DG/AEPhi for personality, involvement, and popularity.
