Delta Zeta - ΔΖ Sorority at University of Akron - UAkron 1.0 They have a hard time getting girls to stay and they are so desperate that they take anyone but because they aren’t very selective their girls don’t all really get along because they don’t have a lot in common other than they wanted to join a sorority. They get a lot of girls that no one wanted and they have a lot of problems because of it I’ve also noticed that they are fake nice to anyone that they think they could possibly recruit but as soon as they find out a girl is already in a sorority their personality 100% changes it’s really weird.

Delta Zeta - ΔΖ Sorority at University of Akron - UAkron 3.5 Dz deserves more credit. their chapter is SO INCREDIBLY involved for the number of girls they have. While their numbers are falling a bit, don't count them out. I haven’t heard of dz having much drama. If youre on the fence about greek life or unsure, talk to the dz’s, theyre the most approachable.

Dz deserves more credit. their chapter is SO INCREDIBLY involved for the number of girls they have. While their numbers are falling a bit, don't count them out. Delta Zeta - ΔΖ Sorority at University of Akron - UAkron 1.0 Let’s see how long this review stays up. This chapter absolutely has issues with racism. Their mass exodus of black member cannot be ignored. After they chased out the majority of black members, they turned to chase out the LGBT members as well. They are backstabbing horrible sisters. I’m not in a sorority myself but the amount that I’ve heard from my friend who had to leave because of how much bullying she endured is disgusting. They will show you the happy sides of the sorority for the first year and then they will immediately start throwing you to the wolves as a sophomore. I wish my best friend would have saved her time and money instead of spending it on something that never ever gave back to her.

Let’s see how long this review stays up. This chapter absolutely has issues with racism. Their mass exodus of black member cannot be ignored. Delta Zeta - ΔΖ Sorority at University of Akron - UAkron 1.0 I used to be in this sorority but I dropped and have NO regrets. You’ll never hear anything bad about them on here because they pay to have all negatives posts deleted. I wish I was kidding. In fact, I guarantee this post will be deleted pretty quickly too. DZ comes across as really genuine and inclusive during recruitment from an outside perspective, which is why I was originally drawn to them. This could not be further from the truth, unfortunately. I have never met a nastier back stabbing group of girls. In fall 2020-spring 2021, there were some SERIOUS problems with racism and discrimination that led to myself along with almost every other black sister dropping. It was literally a mass exodus of black women because the neither the President nor anyone else did much to stop the disgusting racism. What little efforts they did make to address the racism were poorly thought out and oftentimes just consisted of everybody getting yelled at during chapter to just “be nice to everyone”. I know nothing had changed yet since I left because when this post gets deleted, like I know it will be, they will once again, be silencing black voices…just like they did when we all dropped. And to the DZ reading this, I understand you don’t like negative posts about your chapter, but deleting this post will only show everyone that you want to take away our voices when they don’t speak in your favor. Food for thought.
