Phi Delta Theta is a quality fraternity that is definitely on its way to becoming #1 on akron campus. It is already a top tier fraternity that is recruiting great guys, improving its gpa, and becoming more involved both in greek life and campus life.

Their nice house is a gift from their Alumni, any greek organization would be blessed to have that type of privilege. They are one of the most involved, with members on IFC and across campus. They also give the opportunity to all students and remove the members that do not meet their standards as men. Their older members weren't the most respectable but look at the direction they are going with their fraternity. if you got to know them you wouldn't think this way. Fellow Fraternity Man

Funny thing about people stating that the Phi's do not show up to support others events. They do its just never the whole chapter. The truth is it can be applied to any Fraternity on campus. Philanthropies are weeks if not days apart and money is always wanted. Not time or attendance. We as Greek organizations have this notion that donating "x" amount of dollars is all that counts! We are college kids for the love of it all. Paying dues, books, rent, gas, food. All while trying to study, work, and live. Create events in which we can give our time to serve others or learn from one another. If your just interested in a check, why give a crap if they attend?

I know a couple of guys in this chapter and my grandpa was part of Phi delta Theta,,, i didn't go PDT i went Theta Chi when i got initiated to Theta they said that PDT really doesn't do much with the other fraternities they don't try to socialize or do anything then i talk to my buddies and they said they have heard that same thing over and over again so are fraternities are trying to get together and have some socials even if the DG's show up which they probably will its okay.

Every fraternity has their issues, including PDT, but at least they didn't lose their house (TKE) and have a terrible rep on campus. I'm a Sig and I love hanging out with the Phi's. Stop bashing until you've actually met the guys and get to know them, not judging them off of what all you've heard.

Greek Gal we know your a DG, its ok. You find comfort in their nice house, no other Greek Organization can argue there. They accept you because without you they would have nobody. The community is actually pretty fun, it's too bad you and phi delt always stay in your little corner together. it's nice you found each other before you all end up on eHarmony in ten years anyway. toodles

The fact that my grandpa was one them was the only reason i was thinking about rushing them then i discovered that i don't want to be part of the rich group that and they are dry. And only DG hang with them so honestly DGs are hot but i would rather hang with ALPHA GAMMA.

Your comments seem rather irrelevant when the first thing you comment on is their beautiful house. I don't have many negatives to say about Phi Delt, but I also have nothing positive to say about them

I'm an ex Phi Delt and I agree with the previous post. Don't let appearances fool you. They use their nice house (which they only got from an insurance settlement because the burnt the first down) to recruit and as a symbol of status. Trust me, it's the only reason we ever had numbers, because we could get our parents to sell out easily that we're "different" for not having an animal house... I joined for an alcohol free environment fraternity to avoid stereotypes, but DON'T be fooled by them. They drink all the time in their house when it's supposed to be dry. They have serious internal issues... they have a ton of problems with their new members and let go about 15 because they bidded without knowing their members. I got fed up with the deception and rule breaking and lack of brotherhood. NOT what a fraternity is supposed to be about. They don't have any spirit of brotherhood; only spirit of meaningless high numbers in membership, money and a house.
