Dont have much to say about Phi Tau but you can bet that they’ll have a big friday night party. I could probably only name one of their guys, but they do carry when it comes to your weekly party scene. Don’t have anything bad to say about them

Tke has some good members. Their guys are nice if you get to know them. Every chapter has a few bad apples but their guys are pretty cool. Sure they do the whole frat thing but its not their only focus. They do pretty well in intramural sports. They tend to carry when it comes to holiday parties, and have single handedly carried patty’s the past couple years. Most likely to see them out on the weekends, but they have a strong brotherhood— you can tell these guys care about each other.

Adpi used to be one of the “it” sororities on campus, many people may still consider them so. A few years ago, they had a pretty catty senior class, not sure if they still deal with those issues or not. They have a great philanthropy, but overall the chapter is kinda “meh.” Not a whole lot stands out when it comes to adpi, they tend to do well with awards though. One of the more “sorority” sororities on campus. Not super outgoing, but most of the members i’ve met are pretty nice! They seem to mainly only associate with each other and come across as more shy, but are involved with other chapters on campus.

Dz deserves more credit. their chapter is SO INCREDIBLY involved for the number of girls they have. While their numbers are falling a bit, don't count them out. I haven’t heard of dz having much drama. If youre on the fence about greek life or unsure, talk to the dz’s, theyre the most approachable.

Dg has some great members but also some not so great members. Dg’s are probably less likely to interact with you when out and about on campus. One of the biggest things that draws girls to this sorority is the house, but unless your on the ins with certain people in the sorority, your experience probably will be not so great. Theres quite a few DG’s that can be pretty catty, BUT they do have some really nice girls. I’d say there probably aren’t many girls that fall in the middle. You’ll either meet a DG thats very nice or very rude. Theyre very competitive and committed to being “the best,” and i feel like this makes them way less approachable. Very greek life oriented, win a lot of greek life awards. Again if you’re on the “in” crowd it probably would be a great experience. Their girls win a lot of scholarships and awards.

Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity

Phi delt is the DG of akron frats. Everyone refers to them as “daddy’s money” but really some of their guys are really great. Graduated phi’s have set the stage for these members, but honestly I think the members now are different than classes before. Overall, the guys can be friendly if you can look past some of their guys’ “alpha male” attitudes. I think that probably just comes along with being probably the biggest chapter on campus. Bro code does not exist within the chapter though, you’re more likely to see their members with a lot of the same girls. Don't let that deter you from getting to know them though, they take care of their people.

Delta Gamma Sorority

Fiji ALWAYS gets a bad wrap but for some reason most people can’t seem to back it up with any valid info. These guys are more likely to want to build friendships and connections if you see them out and about. Theyre more welcoming than many other fraternities. They’re loyal brothers— but i’d say probably more loyal to doing the right thing when it comes down to it. If you need walked home, your safest bet is to ask a member of fiji because i’ve never met one at Akron’s campus that didnt have pure intentions.

I feel like people can get the wrong impression of a sorority when looking from the outside in. Get to know these girls, they’re pretty cool! Campus involvement as a chapter is something that could help with growth, but the aphis are most likely to be involved with and connect with non-greek members of student life. Overall down to earth girls and they aren’t caught up with only associating with members of greek life. An aphi is more likely to compliment your outfit or have a down to earth conversation rather than just shoving a philanthropy or strictly greek related content at you.

I’m an active alumnae and want to show awesome we are. I love that even after college that I am still involved.

Don't listen to any other comments on here. These girls are genuine, funny, and just down to earth. They will go to the ends of the earth for each other
