just the facts

I'll be rushing in the fall and would like to hear a review on some of the top houses without some extreme bias. From looking at this site almost all chapters are superficial, lack a strong sisterhood and have no class.

Are they respected/well liked on campus? Are they very philanthropic? Do they have quality girls in them? I don't know many people attending WSU and would like to get a feel for a few sororities before rush. Thanks

As a former member of Alpha Delta Pi, I would recommend not joining this sorority. When it comes down to it, these girls will not stick by your side. Sisterhood is very conditional based on your ability to pay dues. Simply put, if you're ever in a tough life situation, don't expect them to still treat you as a sister let alone an acquaintance. From my experiences, I would pick literally any other sorority. You may actually find genuine friendships at others but not in ADPi.

How dare you speak of any Panhellenic sisterhood like this, shame on you. You were once a member of that chapter, you cared did you not? Because if you didn't it was not the sisterhood of adpi that was the issue. It was you.

Dropped adpi too. They're surprisingly really cliquey and there's a ton of tension. After initiation, the girls are so different and cold.

I know so many girls that dropped before or after initiation

I actually agree with the previous response. I am currently part of a sorority and while you hear negative things about every house, I have not been more biased against any of them except for ADPi.

With that said, every house seems to have their redeeming qualities and you just need to go through recruitment and pick the house that YOU like, not the house that everyone else likes.

I've only heard nice things about ADPi from the girls in the chapter I hang out with. Time to open my eyes!

Just an FYI, I did not expect a free ride but I did expect sisterhood from those who had pledged such to me during my initiation and my time there.

Alpha Phi treat their sisters like crap and there is no sisterhood. They lie and cheat from each other.

Wow this sounds super legit and not generic or stereotyping at all. Truth: All houses have good and bad!!! Trust the process and you will end up where you belong don't listen to anything on this site just let recruitment flow without any preconceived notions :)

Hey! So I'm planning on going greek as an incoming freshman this fall and I have a 2.82 GPA (high school.) I really want to join a sorority and I was wondering if I have a chance in getting into a house?

To be honest, unless you have a special circumstance, you will get dropped by almost everyone so informal might be your best option

(OP) You seem like you would be a good fit for Kappa Alpha Theta! They are very philanthropic, place high value on grades, and are really down to earth.
