Now that formal recruitment registration has opened, joining a sorority is on a lot of your minds. Whether you've already decided you are going Greek or still on the fence about it many of you will turn to GreekRank due to curiosity and in search for "information". I wanted to take the time to tell you all not to use this page as a guidance for what sorority recruitment/life is like at Washington State University. Looking at this page and the hurtful comments about who is "top" and who is not will morph your own decision making process. Don't let someone over the internet create opinions in your head, cloud your judgement, and possibly prevent you from finding the right house for you. People say your sorority becomes a part of you, which it does, but your letters do not define you as a person or what you believe in. A sorority is a tool to grow into a woman, friend, sister, and be a part of something bigger than yourself.
Our Greek community strives to be an example of what a Greek system should by creating Greek-wide projects such as WSUnity, #IAMPANHELLENIC, and Circle of Sisterhood. The Panhellenic community at WSU is truly an amazing, beautiful group of women and I highly recommend going through rush to everyone. Even if you don't end up joining a house it is a great way to get yourself out there and meet lots of new people before school starts. Good luck to everyone with their decision making process and GO COUGS GO GREEK!
With love,
A member of the Panhellenic community
