by: Quick QuestionIs a 2.8 transfer GPA too low for recruitment? Will I get cut from a lot of houses because of it? I had a rough first year due to a family illness and a bad car accident that kept me out of classes for a month. Please be honest if my GPA is too low to get into a good house!

are you a guy or girl? Either way if you are able to have a chance to discuss why your grades are lacking and can also show that you would be a good fit and can succeed academically. If you;re a guy it won't matter as much.
If a girl which I have a feeling you are then the unfortunate truth is that most houses won't give you the time of day if they hear your GPA first. If you could make connections first to explain your situation somehow then that would be easier, but at the moment a good portion would cut you if you introduced yourself with a 2.8.

It goes by the previous academic semester/quarter, not your accum. They want to know how you are doing now not when you were a freshman
