what is wrong?
by: TryhardWhat is wrong exactly about being a try hard? Seems the people who actually care are the real try hards. Obviously, if someones thinks they're FAF and stuff because they have on chubbies with an American flag tank, then that is pretty annoying. But if someone is just preppy in general then who cares? I'm also not saying that chubs and tanks are preppy, but there is a time and place its acceptable. I think the so called, "try hards" actually have more fun and are closer than those who think they're top and make fun of the "try hards."

you're totslly right that there's a time and place for everything. Some people just consider it being a try-hard because wearing preppy clothes and pastel colors is more commmonplace in the south and not so much in the northwest. and chubbies and american flag stuff is so overdone, that its considered a caricature and thats why people think its tryhard
It's more common to see a guy wearing a southern tide pocket tee, pink vineyard vines shorts, sperrys and croakies in the south than it is here, which is why some people think it might be being a tryhard.
but just dress for yourself. who cares.

They call it the try-hard phase, and I guess I've been in it since before High School if I'm in this phase....Serious though, what I do think is ridiculous is when a skater/punk/"G" go from being that in high school, to acting like they were country club raised after they get a bid.
When bidding people need to stop looking at the poor qualities, and start figuring out who is actually genuine.
