frats rising and falling

by: Question

Why do frats seem to rise and fall much more often than sororities? TKES was a a mid-bottom house like 4 years ago and now they are too. Delts we’re too then and now are middle.

Sororities don’t seem to move standings as easily and it takes a long time if they do. Like aPhi was bottom house when my mom was here. Now they are top but it took forever

Because social probation primarily. A house can only get so good until something bad happens usually with hazing/allegations. The more popular the house, the more allegations (look at sae, tke)

Exactly. Take Sigma Nu for example. Sigma Nu has been on social probation this whole year because of hazing allegations, and now have fallen to mid tier. All the good pledges leave because they want to party, and all that’s left are the not so good recruits when the probation ends. A house is never the same after a lengthy probation, this year it just happened to be Sigma Nu.

Is Sig Nu even relevant anymore?
