we need to do better

by:

It doesn’t matter who’s the top house or who throws the best parties or what sorority has the prettiest girls. Literally none of that matters. A member of our community lost his life and while we’re all going home to our families next week, he’s not going home to his. This community needs to change. We need to support each other and take care of each other, not argue over who’s better than who. It’s toxic & it’s one of the reason that we’ve ended up here. People are upset over social events being suspended, but we may not even have a Greek Life in the future if we don’t start doing better soon. Every chapter is filled with amazing people who are all very passionate about each other and their philanthropies. The connections, impact, and memories we make are 100x more important and memorable than our rankings.

Thanks for a genuine post whoever wrote this. No idea why it was so difficult for someone to type a message like this without flexing ur house. Our priorities should be around Sam and the messages portrayed in this post, not caring about who’s top or dry or whatever.

Put eloquently. People care too much about things that aren’t going to matter once we graduate, hell they hardly matter now. But Sam is dead, his family and brothers have to deal with that for the rest of their lives. Our thoughts should be with them, not whether blondes or brunettes do it better
