What kind of pet is it? Is your pet a cat or dog or something else..? Honestly, pets are allowed in the house but remember someone is going to have to take your pet since it will basically be a house pet.

Its a very small cat fresh from litter 2 weeks ago. Why does she have to be shared? I can take care of her myself

Well it's not the issue about your cat being shared, generally in the fraternity, you share a living space with multiple brothers and your fraternity pretty much in a way adopts your pet as a fraternity pet. Ask the fraternity executives if it is okay to have your cat in the house. Literally, your cat will be living in a mansion. Also, I would recommend introducing your pet to the fraternity, just in case your are in class or other activities, we had a dog in the fraternity and everyone literally helped take the dog when there was conflicts in time.

Ok but your not listening to me. I want to take care of her on my own bc its my pet and I dont want it to be a fraternity pet I can just leave her in a cage when I go to class so theres no issues. And you obviously never owned a cat before. You dont walk them

I honestly don’t feel a pet would be safe in a frat house. I know a shelter or breeder would never adopt one to somebody in one!

You have to be trolling. You can’t be serious about keeping a cat in a cage whenever you’re not home. You will be out of the house a lot during the day and evening.

I completely agree. This would be so cruel

So seriously putting this in perspective, you honestly just to want to have your cat to yourself and you would rather put your cat in a cage when your aren't home for hours than walk around an entire fraternity house on your cat's own free will. Sorry, but not really, you sound like you don't want to share your cat with anyone besides yourself. Don't you think it makes a little more sense for the fraternity members of the house to to help you take care of your cat...? No one is going to steal your cat and the conditions you are describing sound terrible. You are pretty much saying your going to put your cat in the cage when you aren't home, that is completely messed up and wrong.

Not to lie, if you can't handle a small situation like this in a fraternity house, just to be completely straight forward with you, you don't belong in a fraternity. The part of being part of a fraternity is being accepting of the brothers and the personal space in the fraternity. In essence, if you can't even come to realization about letting another fraternity brother take care of your cat or space, you don't belong in a fraternity.
