juninor
by: questionsi know there is no full proof answer to this question but can anyone give me a brutally honest answer about what will happen if i try to rush a sorority as a junior transfer from out of state with basically 0 connections. Being in a sorority is something that i have always dreamed of but my financial and family situation right out of high school prevented me from doing so. I was wondering the honest chances of someone like me getting a shot to be a a part of a sorority. thanks everyone

I would recommend rushing in the Spring and not Summer in this situation! There would be more opportunity to get to know you PC, not everyone is initiated yet depending on International requirements, and there would be less competition of "older" spots like there is in the Summer. If you are willing to live-in I would say that upfront as well. Most requirements are for for a full year, and then you could get someone to take over your lease to move-in to finish the semester, have all of fall semester living in, and then finish your senior year living out. Just my advice and from what I know from my chapters standpoint!
