Hi! Well the great thing about Recruitment is that you're looking for those sisters where you feel most comfortable and you can get a feel if they're going to support you. Being pressured to drink is a form of hazing and there is a complete zero tolerance for that in the Greek system here at WSU. Go through recruitment and keep your mind open but make sure you follow where you feel comfortable and can feel like you're accepted and you will be totally fine! I am in the Greek system and wasn't hazed and like I said it's definitely not allowed. Besides you can find a house that you feel best at and give it time after you're given a bid to feel it out more and if there is any pressure or hazing you can drop that house (and likely report the incident) but there is nothing to worry about!

Hey! I can agree with the other commenter on this post and say that hazing is not tolerated. I don't drink and nobody has ever pressured me to drink; not even at family drinking (I'll just tag along and hang out and everybody is cool with me staying sober). You will be able to find a house that fits you as long as you keep an open mind and don't let anyone else's opinions sway your decision if you feel like it is a good house for you.

I was hazed, my house hazes, if you don't like it, you can leave. It is part of our history and tradition and we are just smart enough to not tell everyone all about it.
