picking a higher ranked house on pref day
by: asdfHow often do you think girls pick/rank the highest ranking sorority of the 2 or 3 they visit on pref day? That is, do you think most girls want to be with the higher ranking house if given a choice? Not necessarily because it's ranked higher but because it may be more likable initially or whatever. Also, how common is it to not get your first choice? It seems like everyone I've talked to gets their first choice if they make it to pref day with that house

I think girls definitely consider that option (picking a more socially popular house), but ultimately most pick the house where they feel most comfortable. Personally I picked the house that was more popular, but got my second choice which was considerably lower on the totem pole. It ended up being a blessing in disguise because I've never been more in love with a group of people and never felt more at home. I wish I would have put them first when I went through

Exactly. Daughter wishes she had gone with the house ranked lower on totem pole in the long run because they seemed more friendly and more involved.
