rushing with a lower gpa
by: anonim a senior in high school and all through high school i've taken very difficult honors and AP courses and i ended up with a 2.99 after struggling through those classes. I was wondering 1) can i still get a bid from a house 2) if my entire gpa from high school will count including all of senior year 3) how do houses get to know our gpa? Thank you!!

Having a GPA below a 3.2, it will be very difficult to get a bid. Below a 3.0 almost guarantees being dropped. It's worth it to go through rush and see why happens, but you're chances aren't great.

#2 by: get those grades up!
Do your best to get your grades up as high as you can this semester! Rushing is worth a shot, you could see how it goes and always try again sophomore year but in that case you wouldn't be able to do informal. I know someone who had a 2.9 and got dropped by every house but one on the second day of recruitment, so you might not get the house you want if you're a grade risk

Is it still possible to get a bid though? I still have the rest of senior year to raise my gpa and i am only .01 away from a 3.0 so if i can get it up to that at least can i still get a bid?
