contacting rush chairs

For the most part when I've toured houses/rushed it's been the rush chairs contacting me. Is texting the rush chairs yourself taken well, or should I just wait?

A lot of houses might also not have their rush teams elected yet, so signing this early might not allow you to see a lot of houses
