sorority problems

I got dropped from FFR and have been trying to join a sorority through COB with little luck. I don't think anything is wrong with me??! :( It's just that there's so few spots in COB and from what I've see and who I've met at the events, all the rushees already know quite a few girls in the house boosting their standings and I don't know anyone in the houses I'm rushing for.

If COB falls through, should I just give up joining a sorority? Was considering rushing next year again, but that just seems excessive and I've already put in so much energy this year.
