rushing a frat in the spring vs fall

Hi, I am thinking on joining a frat in the spring but someone told me that spring pledge classes are way smaller than fall pledge classes and because of that it would be better to rush in my sophomore year.

Some frats don't have spring classes and that might make you miss out on a very good frat that you would have liked
