How safe is it to walk/live there? Night time vs day time?

As a guy, I walk through it at night alone on a daily basis and haven't really felt threatened. But it's different for girls

During the day it is completely fine. As the person above said, as a male I feel fine walking alone during the night, but I wouldn't let a girl walk home alone. I know a lot of girls feel uncomfortable walking home alone at night.
