I'm an out of state freshmen who lives across the country, will not knowing in-state students exclude me from (hurt my chances of getting into) some of the more social/clique-ish sororities?

if you're out of state then your most likely well off and houses like wealthy girls tbh. Connections help but if you have an awesome personality getting into the house you want shouldn't be a problem
