will i get into a sorority as a sophomore?
by: TransferI am transferring to UW this summer. I want to rush in the fall, but I was wondering if it would be harder for me to get a bid since I will be a sophomore. I don't want to be looked at as different since I am a little older than everyone else. Also, do you have to live in the house if you rush and accept a bid?

Are you hot and have a good personality? If you answered yes to both of these questions you'll be fine in getting into a middle to top tier sorority. Also if you have connections/are good friends with some chicks in sororities you'll be ok. I'm a dude btw but this is just what my sorority friends told me

i worried too and rushed as a sophomore. I got dropped by 2 houses right off the bat but they also didn't have any sophomores in their new PC, and I ended up in my top choice. just be confident! if a house doesn't want you simply because of your age maybe it wasn't meant to be anyways :)

Some houses aren't very open to sophomores in their new PC but most don't mind at all, it is a little more difficult because your grades will (typically) not be as high as a HS GPA but other than that, it's pretty even. And yes, all new members live in the house after you accept a bid, unless for some reason the organization's house is not yet ready, in which case no one will be living in.
