Why do some sororities do COB but not others. Is it better to do fall rush?

Why do some houses have space? Bad formal rush? Girls drop out?
I heard that many girls didn't get bids this fall- that doesn't make sense if there is room in so many houses.

The only reason houses have space is because girls transfer to different schools, some drop, and a good amount graduate early. It's not uncommon or necessarily a reflection on the house.

So many girls rush at UW that every house ends up with a full pledge class on bid day (even if that means snap bidding).

You get a way better feel of the sisterhood of the house if you do COB, formal rush is overwhelming and you don't get to know everyone as well. But if you do COB, just know that you won't have as many options.

Typically, sororities that COB have worse retention than the ones who don't. Sometimes this means that they have worse sisterhoods, but not always.

COB is for the houses that cannot retain their girls. It is NOT because the girls moved like one other person claims. Nice try.

COB doesnt always mean houses have poor retention. Our house has to COB because we have 7 live in girls graduating early and we wont meet livein quota when they leave. It just depends on the house. Dont be so quick to judge.
