So I plan on going (if I get accepted) to UW next year. I want to go Greek but I'm on the fence. How strong is the Greek System here?

It's the largest GS in the west coast with 32 houses, the parties aren't as crazy as other schools. But if you want be social in the slightest, it is the best option. Best decision i've ever made!

It's strong. There's about 4000 or so students in the Greek System. Many of them are highly involved on campus as well. Thanks to the high number of fraternities and sororities, it's hard to not find a house that fits you.

I've done the dorm thing and now the Greek thing. It's not even a comparison. Go Greek!

Honestly, you'd be better suited joining a crappy fraternity than dorming. Greek life is just so much more amazing. No one that goes Greek tends to regret it, besides a few geedy people.

Plus the parties are underrated

^ When I rushed I never went to a "terrible" party, even at low tier houses, I tended up signing a top tier house and I can say you'll have fun anywhere you sign. Being in the worst house at UW is 1000x better than being in the best dorm.
