Hi!! Sooo I'm a senior in high school right now and if I were to get into UW I'm debating on rushing. I was wondering if the greek system really payed that much attention to popularity? I understand that there are tiers but does anyone really pay attention to them?? Like do the "popular" frats only hang with the "popular" sororities and vice versa. I am just wondering because if I were to rush I don't want it to be like High School all over again.

There are always exceptions. Individual girls go places in houses above/below theirs if they know people. But in general, yeah tiers kinda matter.
