sorority costs

Are there any major initial costs when joining a sorority that you have to pay right away? I know they usually have that $500 membership fee, but are you expected to pay for it right off the bat? In between move in week and the first day of school, will we have to pay any big bills?

Sister was in a sorority. One thing most people don't think to budget for is clothes. Take your current clothing budget and multiply it by 4.
