how competitive is ffr? if i stay open minded and list the max number of houses every day would I be guaranteed a bid somewhere?

You will likely get a bid somewhere, but there is no guarantee. Very few people are released by everyone (less than 1%).

If you make it to preference, attend all your parties and list every house when you fill out your preferences, then yes, you are guaranteed a bid to one of those houses.

It's very likely that you'll make it to pref - like the above poster said, very few people get completely released.
