Rankings in real life?
by: :)I’m COBing and I’m just confused on if any of the convos and rankings that happen on this website actually matter in greek life when you’re face to face with people… are people in bottom housesreally treated like bottom tier people? I’ve had good experiences with some houses that have a really bad rep on here, but I don’t know if I wanna join if they actually are mean or get treated bad for something silly like their “greek rank”

The top 7 houses hangout with the same frats. DZ, DG, Chi o, AXO and sometimes AxiD hangout with the same frats. And the “bottom” sororities hangout with the same frats. The rankings determine which frats you hangout with. honestly there are awful people in all sororities and frats so COB a house you genuinely love and vibe with

not entirely true. a lot of the time when top frats throw bigger parties they let kind of anyone in (source: am in a bottom sorority, have been to parties at top frats before). for exchanges yeah you generally hang out with houses in the same general tier but not always, we hang out with a few middle frats and some of the lower frats we hang out with hang out with upper mid sororities. it can be a little more fluid than you think

If youre talking about the Alpha Delts party, only DZ and Chi O talked to the guys and the Phi Mus and Axo didn’t talk to them lolll

I meant in general, I wasn't at that party but both last year and this year there are usually a fair amount of girls from mid/bottom houses when I go to the big parties at upper/upper mid frats.

Ranks do not really matter lol, join whichever house you feel like you fit in the best. Yeah certain frats only do exchanges with "top" houses but you aren't really missing out much, imo all frats kind of start to look the same after a while.
Don't believe everything you read on greekrank either, this site is a toxic hellhole and people have been stirring up a lot of drama lately. Most negative posts have a motive behind them, usually another house trying to boost their own rank by bad mouthing others.
If a top house feels best, great, join it, but if a mid or bottom house feels best, don't deny yourself a great community just because a bunch of frat boys think they're not good enough.

greek rank is the most toxic platform ever, i say stay away. houses with bad reps on here ive never actually had a bad experience with, its just ppl salty about individually poor experiences. join a house that you feel you connect with the best, cuz at the end of the day every sorority goes to parties, has hot girls, does fun events, etc

Basically top houses hangout with top houses, middle hangout with middle houses, and lower houses hangout with low houses. Occasionally a middle house will hang with a top house. It doesn’t matter in the end and you will find friends
