sophomore joining a house

While most people are freshman, there are still sophomores who go through recruitment. Out of the over 600 women who went through last year, about 10% were sophomores.

What exactly do you mean by "look down on"? Do you mean is it harder to get into a house for sophomores than freshman? I would say it depends.

If you have a stellar (college) GPA, at least some activities, and are friends with people in many different houses, then you probably have a pretty good shot.

If you have a crappy GPA, did nothing your first year, and know no one in any house, you're likely going to have a more difficult time.

Most important is to not get your heart set on any one house - keep your options open.
