they do well in school and just had a great philanthropy. don't really see how they could be on probation

going out and drinking has nothing to do with being on probation?? It effects what your chapter can officially do and puts on the records

Actualyl a lot of the time probation does have to do with going out and drinking, it would seem like a likely punishment for what they are doing...Think of people on social probation, drinking.

Being on probation doesn't mean you can't go out....it means you're no longer able to do other philanthropies or participate in social events. They can still go out all the want as individuals, but not participating in events as a chapter.

"The University of Washington takes all hazing allegations seriously. While the allegations are currently under investigation, the fraternity will remain on probation. Due to the most recent allegations the University has declared this to be a double probation violation. As a result of the most recent ongoing investigation. All new pledges must sign a notice of infraction prior to moving in to this fraternity.
