Do people care if you rush as a sophomore/jr

by: DL

Just wondering if recruiters care if you rush a sorority as a sophomore/junior. I know the site says they pretty much prioritize sophomores and higher but will houses drop people if they find out? I figured I would rush but I’ll be a junior this upcoming year. Just worried if it’ll be disappointing or awkward

I don’t think it really matters that much tbh. If the sorority likes you, it won’t matter. You might not get your first pick, but it won’t hold you back from the majority. Especially, if you’re coming to UW from a community college. However, the only reason this might be a con is that houses like to invest in the girls that can pay for all 4 years. If you’re only going to be paying for 2 years, you’ll be “taking” a spot from someone that can pay for 4. So just remember, it’s not personal if they do drop you.
