formal recruitment

How much of a difference does it make when doing formal sorority recruitment as a sophomore, junior or senior, as opposed to doing it as a freshman? I want to rush my sophomore year but I don't want to get stuck in a lower tier house, or not in any house at all!

you will be okay. they like freshman but always have a few spots for sophomores. just keep an open mind.

The formal recruiting process doesn't let you be dropped from a house in the final round if you don't suicide (choose not to put all of the houses on your preference sheet). So as far as not getting a house at all: if you don't suicide, you will end up in one of 18 wonderful sororities!
